Also here in the UK to treat FELV cat flu FHV is cat flu as well
we use Interferon injection that animal must have 7 of these injections

Well in the US if you are talking about upper respiratory tract infection (when the cat is snezzing and has runny eyes.) The med that worked best for my cat and foster kittens was Clavamox.

my cat Buuster had TLC and lots of fluids antibiotics were not involved.
My vet actually said I was a credit to pet owners because of the care I gave him.
Cat flu is a virus vets will only pescibe antibiotics if there is a secondary infection i.e the cat gets a chest infection.
My little Buuster had a temp of 46.8 the vet advised me to put him to sleep as he was risking brain damage. I didn’t sleep for 3 days I gave him subcut fluids and held him up on his litter tray so he could pee. If He had had Antibiotics at this stage it could have made him open to infection he would have got pnenomia and died.he has long lasting affects ofthe cat flu like a stuffy nose and he snores but our vet his happy that he is healthy and he is a big cat at 8lbs a 8 months old
