I am 17 years, and yesterday i left school early because i had a temp. of 100.4. But i kinda feel fine. I dont think it is truely worth a visit to the doctors. It has been really hard for me to sleep at night, they are restless nights and i have been breaking out in sweats during the night. I feel semi dizzy and tired 24-7 and i cant seem to go to sleep. My ‘glands’ are swollen on my neck which makes my neck pretty sore. And my throat is pretty itchy. I was wondering what could it be? and what is a good ‘treatment’ to speed up the ‘get better process’ and if it is even worth going into work or not for?
Could be mono. Your best bet is to get checked. Even though you feel fine, any time your glands are swollen, you should seek treatment.
go to the doctor , if you swollen glands that’s a sign of infection.
Get to the Doc and let Him/Her decide the next step.
Maybe strept throat which needs to be treated with antibiotics. Either way, with all that is going on, you really should see a doctor. There are free clinics if you are uninsured, check your local yellow pages. The best thing to do when you are sick (besides seeing a doctor) is to rest, drink lots of fluids, and take your vitamins. ( C is a great one for colds and stuff. I just heard B12 helps headaches.) So go to the doctor sweet pea. The sweats and dizziness combined with the throat issue and fever, I hate the doc but I would go! ALSO, very important, a stiff neck can be a sign of meningitis (spelling) but is very serious. So, def go to the doctor. (I just reread the question) Good luck and I hope you feel better for the Holidays.
if this has been going on for more then a few days then you need to seek a doctor
You should definitely seek a doctors advice. The symptoms you describe are concerning. Could be mono, the beginning of strep, or worse like hodgkins lymphoma. GO TO THE DOCTOR.
