Seasonal flu vaccines: Are parents of affected children permitted to receive the flu vaccine in the UK?

My children all qualify for the seasonal flu vaccine and swine flu vaccine. Can anyone tell me if the parents/carers qualify to receive the vaccine as well? My wife apparently qualifies because she is a carer. I don’t because there is apparently only one carer in a family! I care for my special needs child as much as my wife. Does anyone know whether there are NHS guidelines on this? Thanks.
