Flu Symptoms 2011
Basically I had a bit of a make out fest last night with about four people, and came out feeling light headed and quite sick with a sore throat. We were joking around saying it might be mono, but I have no idea what mono is, could anyone tell me what it is, what it does and what the symptoms are??

It’s glandular fever. Or Epstein – Barr. It would take longer than a couple of hours to show itself. The symptoms are sore throat, extreme flu like symptoms and tiredness.
It could be, but it is nothing to stress yourself out about too much.

It is a virus that makes you weak and tired. If you go to the doctor their is a test they can do with blood that takes about 5 minutes. It can last a long time so I would get checked out. And next time maybe you shouldn’t make out with so many people.
Mono is a viral disease. The most common symptoms are fever, sore throat, & fatigue. I highly doubt you could have got mono so quickly after kissing someone else. The person that you kissed would have also had to have the disease. You can also get the disease from any other form of close contact, such as sharing drinks or chapstick. The only way to confirm mono is a blood test. However, since it is viral, they typically do not treat with anything as antibiotics do not work against viruses. You just sort of stick it out. It is more likely that you have strep throat. You can find this out by seeing a doctor and they can swab your tonsils. This can be taken care of with a round of antibiotics.
Sore throat and very high fever
I’m sorry to have to tell you this but its not mono. Its aids not just hiv but full blown aids. I’m so sorry
