1 word… Peptobismol!
You can buy it at any chemist! It really helps settle your stomach! Plus if you do begin vomitting it makes the experience a whole lot nicer… in a way. So try it!
Trust me I use it all the time
Jess
xx
Other helps are
1) flat lemonade… get lemonade and leave it out open over night and drink it with no bubbles!
2) garlic… apparently helps settle the stomach, havent tried this one myself but worth a shot.
3) PEPTOBISMOL!

First: feeling dizzy can be due to many things:
Problems in your ears which help control balance – infections can be picked up if you swim, Meniers disease if you are past 60 which I guess you aren’t.
Low blood sugar which can be due to having too many sugary drinks and sweets – called quick sugar. It goes straight into your blood stream, your brain tells the insulin to come out to keep the blood sugar level correct but because the blood sugar is rising very fast, too much insulin comes out and you become slightly hypoglycaemic – low blood sugar. It is actually very common and will make you thirsty, dizzy and also feeling slightly clammy – at worst you can pass out.
So stop those quick sugars – nibble on nuts (unslated) and fruit which are healthier and might stop your dizzy spells by themselves. Get plenty of good exercise and fresh air if you can.
Second: as for ‘stomach flu’ there is a norovirus that causes vomiting and diarrhoea for about 24 – 48 hours. If you live with other people like in college everybody else will have it!
There are other viruses that cause flu like symptoms, raised temperature, lethargy, vomiting and diarrhoea can all occur: take paracetamol (acetaminophen) in the recommended dose, 500mg every 6 hours should help, keep warm and rest. It should go after 3-4 days. Swine flu can be worse and can leave you feeling very weary for some time – take it easy.
If the dizzy spells continue and gradually get worse you need to see a doctor to be checked out in case there is something more fundamental that needs attention.
Hope this helps.
