Hi, looking for help with my recurrent symptoms…I’ve suffered with joint pain & muscle pain over the years which comes and goes, last few months it occurs in different areas of my body daily, had sharp stabbing chest pain a few times last summer, lasted about 20 minutes each time, which has now subsided, feel weak & fluy sometimes for a day or two, unable to do much, then suddenly gets better, although I know its not flu because I have no temperature or assoiciated flu symptoms apart from muscle weakness and joint pain, developed raynauds in my hands a few months ago, following each attack, I notice red spots under my skin in fingers & hands with fade a bit but are still visible, also a few small white dots under skin on hands, sometimes get hot red rash on arms, as if my blood vessels have been pushed to the surface of my arms, my skin has changed in appearence from nice & smooth to little raised, chicken skin like appearence on left arm only, rash fades after a few hours, have collapsed with severe abdominal pain twice in last 6 months, ( went to docs 1st time and they just suggested pain killers,pain passes after a day of so, red warm flushing to my left side of jaw, doctors referred me to a rhuemotologist and had bloods done, immunoglobin was abnormally high, most others ( blood count etc was fine) RF was normal, awaiting ANA result, any idea as I’m at my wits end, I’m a 32 yrs old female. I eat a healthy diet, stomach swoll last night with severe pain, was accompanied with prickly feeling rash to lower arms, and was unable to sit upright until pain passed this morning, have another 4 weeks til next appointment, any ideas what this could be or any one going through the same.
Yes I think I may. I was very ill, had arthritis, fybromyalgia, abscesses on my teeth for seven years, pylonadal synus, caught every bug going, lymph system constantly inflamed etc etc. Turned out I had food sensitivities. Raynard’s syndrome is the closing of the capillaries of the extremities IE: the arms legs, hands, etc. It happens due to cold weather, stress. It can be very uncomfortable. I have it also, Out of three heart attacks one was attributed to Raynard’s. You get a stinging in the fingers, they get cold instantly outside, like about fifty above can trigger it.
The chest pain is what I would be interested in, there should be no chest pain at all. See a cardiologist about this or the family doctor, have an EKG and/or a deep scan and a stress test, walking (manual) or chemical. This is very necessary.
Since the capillaries are closing your going to have color changes in the skin of these areas, like you said “white spots, blue and red spots” from lack of blood and blood going back in.
A blood test should show you arthritis or Rheumatism, fibromyalgia is a different story. The name Idiopathic is coined to this disease because it’s along the lines of arthritis and rheumatism but, there are no specific answers for it. Fibromyalgia is a catch word and thy use it for something they don’t know about. You can have all three of them. It’s the same treatment for all of them.
Your seeing a Rhumitologist, that’s the first step, now after the tests come in they have to find a medication to treat you permanently. By the way, all of these are handed down from, sorry to say, the mother. It’s the “Y” gene. All my sisters and I have this.
We have had knees replaced, shoulders, plates in hands, legs, you name it. Check your family history, ask the Aunts, Uncles etc.
