I get a cold about four times a year, and they are usually intense. But the duration is usually ONE day, maybe two. I use no meds, only natural remedies like garlic, probiotics, vitamin A. Does it mean the first line of defense in my immune system is weak and the other phases are strong? If so, what would be a way to improve it? Thanks!

September 15th, 2009My friend works at a cancer clinic, and they have been advised to send any people who come in for treatment for testing if they have flu like symptoms. Since the treatment and in some cases the type of cancer causes “flu-like symptoms” in at least 80% of cancer patients, her department has been sending the majority of their patients to get tested.
Does this seem unnecessary to you? We live in a province in Canada that has not had any confirmed swine flu cases.
Diarrhea For Over A Week?
September 5th, 2009Ive had diarrhea for about 8 days now. I saw my doctor on the 4th day, and he said that i have a flu virus, and the diarrhea could last upto a week. But it has been longer than a week now. The diarrhea has got better, but its not normal. I also have stomach pains now and then. Are there any herbal remedies to stop it?
