It’s a hoax. It isn’t even as bad as regular flu.
ETA @ the old dog: You sound like you know something, because your answer sent an otherwise inexplicable chill down my spine.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Is It True That The Swine Flu Is So Mild That A Texas Ranger Pitched A Game While He Was Sick?

Yes it’s probably true but it’s not the H1N1 flu that they are concerned about now; it’s the “rebound” of the H1N1 flu that has the authorities concerned.
If it comes back in the flu season from the spring flu it could return with a vengeance more lethal than what we have now.
That’s the main concern here.
It can be very mild..
Health experts consider the pandemic to be moderate at this point, meaning it can kill people and require hospitalisation for many others, sometimes for weeks at a time with severe illness. However, most sufferers get only a mild illness and get better with little or no treatment.
It depends on the Health of the Individual. A lot of Texas Rangers are Extremely Fit.and Healthy
Even Though the Texas Ranger may have been ill , he was not
completely devasted by the flu. Some are . Some Die .Some recover
I believe that the Texans did pitch a game. while he was ” ill to a certain extent with the flu
Like any flu virus…some will be affected more seriously than others. The stronger your immune system…the better off you’ll be. In addition, by all accounts, the first round of the virus was relatively mild. But like most viruses it returns in a mutated, stronger form. SO we’ll have to see
The H1N1 virus- is like ANY Flu… SOME people are MORE affected by it- than others… Roll the “Dice of Chance”- & the # that comes up -is gonna be the severity of the Flu you get… There’s really NO way to stop it… We just have to Deal with it like any OTHER potential Illness- & not worry about it…
With healthy people it may very well be.
If the doctors say so, then it’s true.
