I Have A Horrible Sore Throat -?

Along with a cold & cough – I have some body aches and a slight fever – Yes I know perhaps I’m getting the flu -but when I had the flu 2 years ago I did not have a sore throat – I do not want to take antibiotics so can you please give me some ideas on alternative cures…thankls

    It could be the flu even though a different time you had the flu you didn’t feel the same. The same viruses can exhibit different symptoms. Take Advil for the sore throat (ibuprofen rather than acetaminophen, it’s better for your liver and kidneys) and gargle with salt water. If it is a virus it will get better on it’s own.

    Try washing your mouth out with salt water, it kills the germs and will help your sore throat heal faster. Also, if you really can’t stand the pain there are some cough drops (I can’t remember what they’re called), they taste like orange and when you swallow your throat gets kind of numb. You can probably get them at the drug store.
