Also please list the symptom that are physical and I hear you get depression too. Is that true? How many people have died from the flu? And how deadly is it?

So far only 7 have died of confirmed swine flu A(H1N1). One small child that traveled from Mexico died due to underlying health problems complicated possibly by the flu.
A(H1N1) symptoms are just like any other flu.http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/27…

17000 people died this year from a sickness that everybody knows very well. Guess what it is… yeah its the flu. And thousands of people die from the regular flu every year but yet the news stations make a huge deal out of the swine flu that has killed like 180 people. Its just the governments way of getting peoples attention off of the real problems at hand like the economy going in the crapper. If you asked me people need to open there eyes and realize they are being dooped.

Only 17 confirmed deaths have been reported. The kicker is, unlike popular belief, people aged 25-50 are the ones dying. This outbreak has killed one person in the US, but its not the only time a person has died in the US from it. Mid 70’s a woman died after catching swine flu from pneumonia like symptoms. The biggest threat like most flu virus outbreaks, is cytokine storms. This in effect causes the body to attack itself. Fluid can build up in the lungs and you literally drown in your own fluids. One possible reason for the age range of people dying from the “FLU” is they feel bullet proof and healthy. You see a small child sick or elderly sick, you call the doctor. A healthy young to middle aged adult gets sick and they think they will be ok and can work through it. Sadly you have never been introduced to this virus and the body recognizes the threat and before you know what hit you you are suffering from a cytokine storm. The best thing for people to do right now is: 1) avoid suspected areas of infection, 2) wash hands frequently and thoroughly, 3) IF you even think you are sick STAY HOME, 4) DO NOT visit sick people, 5) use common sense and dont panic. This means dont rush to the ER just because you have a cough, instead call the doctor or local health department and ask questions. If you get a fever, take a tylenol and try to break the fever. If the fever persist over 24 hours, then seek medical attention. Just rushing to the ER causes a back log of work for a group of over worked people that are needed for other life threatening cases.
In short, if you think you might have it, STAY AWAY from other people and rest up. If you see no improvement in 24 hours, call the doctor and go from there. This is as contagious as they say it can be, but just not as deadly as long as you realize you might be sick.

Stop worrying so much! Honestly, people, you’re so worried about getting and dying from the swine flu you’re probably going to get ulcers instead…
1 person died on U.S. SOIL, but he was not American, and he had other health problems. You won’t die if you get it unless you’re like 70 and very weak, or 3 and not strong enough yet!

  5. AriGat?! says:

just don’t worry you don’t have it!
the symptoms are the same with any other flu, and in the US only one person had died who was actually a Mexican so yeah, it’s not as bad as we hear it, it’s just the media making it sound big and dangerous
    Don’t Worry ^_^

here, its actually not that bad. the news is only making it a big deal because its new. In fact, the swine flu is so minor that it is less common than the regular flu! You have more of a chance of dying from the flu than catching swine flu.

  7. JB says:

This is not true. Although over one hundred have died in Mexico there as only been one death in the U.S. To see complete information of the symptoms, spread, ect. go to http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/key_facts.htm

    symptomes of swine flue are
    runny nose
    soar throat
    coughing
    fever
    lethargy
    lack of appetite
    nausea
    vomiting
    and diarrhea

  9. Kelly says:

    About 100
    Mexicans have died.
The one person that died in the US was a Mexican who came here for treatment.
It is no worse than the normal flu and it is VERY likely that you won’t die from it if you get it.

Don’t worry it’s not as bad as it may seem. Only elderly people and Young children are at risk, like it is with most all types of flu.
