I’ve tried every “natural remedy” in the book, without much luck. I’m wondering what you guys think is the absolute best medicine for a cold/flu? So far Theraflu is the best I’ve found but I wonder if there is better.
And what makes it your favorite?
I’m also wondering your opinion on sudafed (theres a “real” kind you have to buy behind the counter that contains sudaphedrine, and also a imitation by the same brand sudafed pe, which is a whole different formulation, but I’ve never tried either.

m feeling the worst of my life my throat is killing me flu isn’t that bad but throat i cant even talk or speak it hurts alot and heart burn is not goin away even though m taking small meals i need some encouragement i feel like crying i m doing all natural remedies for the throat and flu but for a while it feels better after an hour or so pain comes back and my ears r hurting v bad what do i do?any suggestion?i m goin to call DR tomorrow morning.thanks in advance,+i m 35 weeks pregnant cant cant even take deep breaths its hurts alot on my stomach.
Flu In Late Pregnancy 38 Weeks…if Is Not To Severe Can It Harm My Baby If Left Untreated?
October 30th, 2009I’m 38 weeks and so far i was doing excelent. I took no medications during this pregnancy except my vitamins. I eat healty, exercise and did all the right things. And now with only two weeks to go it HIT me with a bad cold/flu. Is been 3 days since I saw my doctor, at that time I only had a sore throat and took some halls menthol, but now I have stuffy nose, burning eyes, bit of headake, temperature comes and goes(like hot flashes) and sore muscles. I will see my doctor in 4 days.
Until now I was going to the pool to swim and stretch in the warm water for an 1.30-2h/day, and this makes me feel so good.
What I want to know is if my cold, as long is just mild can harm my baby if I l do not take any medication, instead just get some natural remedy, honey, lemon and also continue my daily swiming?
I can handle it well for my self and don’t feel the need of bed restriction, however I do not know how it will affect my baby if I push myself to just hang in there.
Any sugestions?

October 25th, 2009I came home yesterday with a high temperature that later got higher into 100.5. I went through a combination of chills and fever until my body finally adjusted. I have a fever again now (small, but I feel the heat on my head). My mother says to eat a whole lemon to help my immune system. Last time I did that (I was so incredibley bored…), I had a stomach ache for hours plus a headache. I know lemon erodes tooth enamel and sugar coated lemon is just as bad. Any ideas? I am taking ibufren for the fever, but sometimes when I walk around I feel out of myself, like I am suddenly walking at different elevations, or going downhill one moment and uphill the next. I am drinking plenty of water and I have already spent most of the day resting on the couch reading. The one time I drifted off to sleep I woke up sweaty and overheated. No throwing up, no stuffy nose, bad dry cough, fever, plus mild sore throat.
What should I do about the lemon thing? Any other natural remedies?
