Yes, vaccines are supposed to PROTECT the people around you more than yourself. If you have small children, elders, or someone with immune issues in your home, you should get the flu shot to prevent YOU spreading the flu to them.

I recommend you getting a flu shot. It will help protect your baby fomr you. There are new flu shots that are not live vaccines. Just ask your doc!!!

Ha. Same situation here, but the kids are older.
They’re both right. The live vaccine works by taking up residence in the nose and multiplying there. The sneezes, coughs and runny nose are full of germs and baby should steer clear of those things. As long as your husband doesn’t sneeze on the baby and washes his hands after he cleans his nose, she’s fine.
