   OK heres the answer to all your swine flu questions. 1. The symptoms are same as common cold- cough,sneeze,aches etc. 2. Dont go to mexico and stay away from anyone who u know has been to mexico.
   3. Wash your hands just in case. 4. Heres the most important- Go to a doctor immediately if u have flu symptoms it would most likely be a normal cold, but just in case…

   Worry if you get it. I doubt you will. It’s all overblown. Remeber bird flu from Asia? H5N1, and this new one is H1N1. Don’t be scared, it’s what they want

   Well, you wouldn’t want to find out right? Better safe than sorry. It sounds like it has been going on for quite some time and they are just announcing it. And it doesn’t make sense that it’s called a flu and not a virus. Kind of like a movie…

   absolutely. but i do think the flu was a man made flu. no pigs were ever found contaminated. it probably is to boost up drug store profits.

   Mass hysteria … People panic and yes “Ordinary flu” occurs every year during the winter months in the UK. It affects 10-15% of the UK population, causing around 12000 deaths … Dont see anyone panicking every year over this !

   Nothing sells papers more than a good “we’re all going to die” story. Colds and flu are usually spread by contact or because we have sneezed virus laden saliva into the air. If we were all meticulous about washing our hands and using tissues, they would not spread so much. We don’t know yet how many people are likely to catch the new strain of flu or how serious it will be. So far, the people who’ve died of it have been in contact with Mexican pigs, so it’s possible that the virus will weaken on human to human transmission. It’s right to be concerned, but don’t panic. (And let’s hope this isn’t a Michael Fish moment.)

   No, not really. I did think that at first, but since my boyfriend works at a hospital and they get faxes of updates all the time, I realized that it’s no joke. The problem with this is that it spreads from person to person, and the thing is that if you are healthy = have a good immune system, you actually are most likely to get seriously ill and maybe even die.
   We have not found a cure, so it’s spreading and spreading…so it’s most likely everyone in the world is going to have it, some will die and others will live..unless they figure out a vaccine.

    too early to tell, no one has died outside Mexico….yet, staying aware and taking sensible precautions as with any illness, any Flu strain can be dangerous if you have other factors to consider, illness, age etc, yes I know a baby died in the US but it had crossed over from Mexico. Worrying about it wont stop you getting it.

    There is a reason to fear…

    Swine, Avian and 2 different human viruses are in this current outbreak. The chances of Mutation are good and that would be a bad thing.

    We still do not know how it started. My daughter went to the doctor 2 weeks ago with similar symptoms. We are being asked to come back now. We are in Chicago. So please keep the Mexican out of the name.

    i think it’s all getting a little to exaggerated now!

    people need to calm down a bit.

    if you have been in contact with someone who has or possibly has it then on the first signs of the flu you can be given a jab from your gp but apart from that you should be ok!

    personally i havent been out in days but thats due to a twisted ankle so i guess im safe
