,what makes you think you have Throat cancer? You may just have a bad throat suck some ice or a lolly it will help, take some paracetamol for pain.hope you feel better soon
Your oncologist should have prescribed you a medicine generally called “magic mouthwash” that is made up by the pharmacist and has 3-4 ingredients like Lidocaine, Nystatin and other meds depending on your particular situation. If you have had radiation to your throat, then your radiation oncologist might also have prescribed this medicine. good luck
I had oral cancer too, and the doctor prescribed the “magic mouthwash,” which was pretty helpful. Mine was so painful they put me on really heavy-duty painkillers. Sounds like you should be asking for the same. I went through hydrocontin, oxycontin, and morphine during my surgery and lengthy radiation treatments. It wasn’t a picnic, but the painkillers sure did the trick. If they do prescribe them, be careful of severe constipation as a side effect, and ask about something to take for that. And good luck — hope you get better.
